What is Mexicano? -A continuous rotation format where players earn individual leaderboard positions while playing as temporary double teams. -Unlike a fixed-schedule Americano, Mexicano uses dynamic matchmaking: after Round 1, the leaderboard algorithm pairs players of similar skill levels together (e.g., Rank 1 & Rank 3 vs. Rank 2 & Rank 4). How Player Rotation Works? Round 1: Players are paired randomly (or seeded initially) to generate the baseline standings. Round 2 Onward: The software groups players based on current leaderboard rank. As your rank moves up or down, your upcoming matches continuously adapt to reflect your current performance level. You may play with or against the same player multiple times during the event if your overall records stay close together. Match Format & Scoring Rules from us -Match Target: First to 6 games wins the match (e.g., 6-0, 6-2, 6-4). -Game Scoring: Direct Golden Point (No Deuce) — when the score reaches 40-40, the next point determines the game winner, and the receiving team chooses which side receives the serve. -No Tiebreak at 5-5: If the score reaches 5-5, play continues directly to a standard game to determine a 6-5 winner (no tiebreak played). Leaderboard & Winner Determination -Win-Based Ranking: Standings are tracked by total matches won, not by individual point totals. -Tiebreakers: If players are tied on total wins, ranking is determined by total games won (or game differential). -Overall Winner: The individual with the highest total wins at the end of all rounds takes 1st place.
