IMPORTANT NOTICE - Safety & Footwear Padel is a physical Sport during which injuries do occasionally occur as a result of slips, trips, falls, or being hit by the ball. Safety of our guests is our utmost priority and we shall endeavour to provide a safe environment to play. Smash Padel Bicester is an outdoor facility, and their will be times when playing surfaces will be damp and potentially more slippery. PADEL IS PLAYED AT YOUR OWN RISK FOOTWEAR Padel requires specific footwear to maximize performance and prevent injury. While running shoes and hardcourt tennis shoes may seem like viable options, they lack the necessary features for the unique demands of padel players. The most crucial characteristic of padel shoes is their grip. The sandy court surfaces of padel require a specific tread pattern to ensure sufficient traction during the sport’s dynamic movements. Look for shoes with a deep zig-zag “herringbone” pattern on the bottom of their outsoles. By selecting footwear that meets these criteria, you can enhance your game and enjoy padel without sliding around the court and risking foot injury.
