M3 Academy Terms & Conditions
Effective from August 2026
Important Academy Update
Welcome to the M3 Academy at Carbon. Our aim is to provide a structured, professional and enjoyable coaching programme that allows every player to develop through the renowned M3 methodology.
As the Academy continues to grow, these Terms & Conditions have been introduced to ensure the Academy remains fair, organised and consistent for all players. By joining the Academy, you agree to the following terms.
July will be the final month of the current Academy programme before we take our annual Academy break throughout August.
The Academy will resume in September 2026, with these updated Terms & Conditions coming into effect from August.
To secure your place for September, all Academy payments must be made during the Academy Review Week (14th–21st August 2026). Places will only be confirmed once payment has been received. Any places not paid for by 21st August 2026 may be offered to players on the waiting list.
M3 Groups that are currently in place from July will have priority to keep their place and class ahead of new students.
1. Joining the M3 Academy
To ensure every player is placed into the most suitable training environment, all new players wishing to join the M3 Academy must first attend one of our Taster Sessions held in August, a M3 Open Clinic or by attending a private training session with head coach Alvaro.
During the taster session, clinic or private session, players will be assessed by Alvaro using the M3 methodology to determine their current playing level.
Following the assessment, players will be added to the M3 Academy Waiting List for their appropriate level.
New Academy groups will only be created once a minimum of three/four players of a similar standard have been identified. Alvaro will then work with the M3 Admin team to then place these players to a regular day and time that all members can commit to attending each month.
This structured process ensures every Academy group is made up of players of a similar ability, creating the best possible environment for long-term development and progression.
2. Academy Acceptance
Academy places are allocated on a monthly basis.
Your Academy place is only confirmed once payment has been received during the Academy Review Week.
If payment has not been received by the end of the Academy Review Week (21st), your Academy place will be released and offered to a player on the waiting list.
3. Academy Review Week
The Academy Review Week will take place between the 14th and 21st of every month for the following month's Academy programme.
During this period, all Academy members must:
Make payment for the following month's Academy.
Submit any dates they know they will be unavailable during the following month.
Once the Academy Review Week has closed, coaching groups, court allocations and Academy schedules will be finalised.
The review period has been set between the 14th and 21st as all players will have attended at least two Academy sessions by this stage. This provides sufficient time for players to review their availability while also allowing the coaching team adequate time to organise the following month's programme.
4. Academy Fees And Payment
All Academy payments must be made during the Academy Review Week (14th–21st of each month).
Your Academy place for the following month is only secured once payment has been received.
If payment has not been received by the end of the Academy Review Week (21st), your Academy place will be released and may be offered to a player on the waiting list.
Should you wish to rejoin the Academy at a later date, your place cannot be guaranteed and will be subject to availability.
From September 2026, Academy fees are:
Off-Peak Academy: £25.75 per session
Peak Academy: £30.75 per session
Academy fees are payable upfront for the month ahead.
Your monthly payment will be based on the number of scheduled Academy sessions for your training day.
Example:
If there are five Mondays in a month:
Off-Peak Academy = 5 × £25.75
Peak Academy = 5 × £30.75
You will pay for the month upfront, any dates submitted in the review week will not be deducted off the month’s total and any banked sessions from the previous four months, there will be plenty of opportunities given to students to make up for the banked sessions that have been missed and there is no time stamp on this.
5. Bank Holidays
Academy fees are calculated based on the number of scheduled Academy sessions within each calendar month.
If a scheduled Academy session falls on a UK Bank Holiday and the session is not delivered, your monthly Academy fee will be adjusted accordingly.
No other reductions, adjustments or credits will be applied to monthly Academy fees for any other reason, except where otherwise stated within these Terms & Conditions.
6. Attendance & Missed Sessions
Any dates you know you will be unavailable must be submitted during the Academy Review Week.
Only absences declared during this period will be eligible to be banked.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. However, due to the continued growth of the Academy, it is no longer possible to accommodate late changes or exceptions. Applying the same policy to every Academy member ensures fairness and allows the Academy to operate efficiently.
7. Banked Sessions
Players will always pay for the full month's Academy programme.
Any banked sessions from the past 4 months of M3 sessions will have no time stamp on it, even if you have up to five owed sessions currently, we will be implementing a timetable with more coaches and more levels to make to this easier come September to make these up to you and will be our priority to have as many sorted in quick succession.
If an absence has been declared during the Academy Review Week, that session will be banked on the player's Academy account.
Banked sessions:
Have no expiry date.
Will remain available until redeemed.
Can be used at one of our Academy make-up classes.
Throughout the year, the coaching team will regularly provide Academy make-up classes, allowing players to redeem any banked sessions.
We believe this is the fairest system for everyone. It allows the Academy to plan coaching groups and court availability effectively while ensuring players never lose the value of sessions they have declared in advance.
Sessions missed without being declared during the Academy Review Week cannot be banked, credited or refunded.
Once a makeup session has been agreed upon, if missed, you will lose this session and it will no longer be banked.
8. Group Allocation
Academy groups are reviewed monthly by the coaching team.
The only way a player will move to a different Academy group is through the approval of Head Coach Alvaro or the M3 coaching team.
Any decision to move a player will be based on their development, ability, attitude and overall progress to ensure they are training in the environment best suited to their continued development.
No group changes will take place during a month that is already in progress.
Any approved changes will take effect at the start of the following month after the Academy Review Week has been completed.
10. Coaches & Session Delivery
All M3 Academy sessions are delivered by M3 Accredited Coaches, ensuring every player receives coaching that follows the official M3 methodology and player development pathway.
Wherever possible, Academy groups will be typically coached by the same coach each week to provide consistency and continuity throughout the programme.
However, from time to time, unforeseen circumstances such as annual leave, illness, coach development, competitions or operational requirements may mean a different M3 Accredited Coach delivers your session.
All M3 Accredited Coaches follow the same M3 coaching philosophy and methodology, ensuring every Academy session maintains the same high standard of coaching and player development, regardless of which accredited coach is leading the session.
This reassures players that a change of coach doesn't mean a drop in quality, while giving you the flexibility to rotate coaches when needed without breaching your own terms.
11. Academy Administration
To ensure the Academy operates efficiently, all monthly administration is completed during the Academy Review Week.
This includes:
Monthly payments.
Submission of known absences.
Finalising Academy groups.
Coach allocations.
Court scheduling.
No changes will be made once the following month's programme has been finalised unless initiated by the coaching team.
12. Commitment to the Academy
The M3 Academy has been designed as a structured player development programme rather than individual drop-in coaching sessions.
By joining the Academy, players are committing to a professional coaching environment built around consistency, progression and the M3 methodology.
These Terms & Conditions have been introduced to ensure fairness for all Academy members while enabling the coaching team to deliver the highest possible standard of coaching.
We thank you for your continued support and look forward to helping you develop your game throughout the M3 Academy.
