The overhead is one of padel's most decisive shots, and one that beginners often find daunting. This clinic breaks it right down, giving you the technique, timing, and confidence to take the ball above your head and play it with control. What to expect: Grip & preparation – Learn the correct grip and how to get your racket up early, the single biggest factor in a clean overhead Footwork & positioning – Understand how to read a lob, move quickly into position, and set your feet to strike with balance and control Contact point & swing path – Find the ideal point of contact and develop a compact, repeatable swing that generates control before power Into the glass – Introduction to playing the overhead into the back glass intentionally, a fundamental padel skill that turns defence into attack Feeding drills – Progressive lob feeds to build timing, consistency, and comfort with the shot from both forehand and backhand sides Live scenarios – Guided point situations where you practise recognising when to overhead and executing under light pressure Who is it for? Beginners who feel uncertain or hesitant when the ball goes above their head. If lobs make you nervous, this session is for you. What to bring: Padel racket (available to hire if needed), court shoes, and a water bottle.
